We are proud to provide video production for Newcastle University’s Business School (NUBS), for the purpose of positioning the Newcastle-based business – Baggers Original – as a case study to help illuminate its success and to assist in the development and education of NUBS students.

Our film production focuses on capturing the start-up story of Bagger’s Original, which initially began 25 years ago by Angela McLean. The product offers fun and practical rainwear and swimwear that can be packaged up into a small carry bag for easy use and stress-free packaging.

With support from her daughter Jessica, the young designer and entrepreneur re-launched the company after appearing on a BBC documentary programme Be Your Own Boss. From this, the company gained wider traction, subsequently catching the eye of David Cameron where they were invited to 10 Downing Street to showcase the revived business. Later on they were invited to audition for Dragon’s Den where the duo received investments from not one, but two dragons: Peter Jones and Deborah Meaden who each offered a £50,000 investment for 15% equity of the Newcastle-based business.

The success of the business and its progression over time is explored in this video, demonstrating the learning processes throughout the business such as becoming a victim of its own success while also representing the successful re-launch of the product.

We’re excited to bring footage about this accomplishment to the wider audience and hope you’ll be just as inspired as us after watching the video. Video is coming soon…
