Mango Studio recently teamed up with the agency Wooshi to help create a sleek, cinematic video for BrightDrop’s new electric delivery van. Drawing on the same storytelling style we showcase across our projects at Mango — from drone-powered visuals to clean, modern cinematography — the film focused on capturing the energy and innovation behind BrightDrop’s mission.

Working alongside Wooshi, we blended live-action footage with subtle motion graphics to highlight the van’s technical features and its role in a more sustainable future. Our team brought the same collaborative, hands-on process seen in our work with clients like Newcastle University and Nixon Hire, shaping a film that feels both human and forward-looking.

The result is a tight, visually engaging piece that positions BrightDrop’s EV van not just as a product, but as a step toward cleaner and smarter urban logistics. It was a pleasure collaborating with Wooshi on a project that aligns so naturally with Mango Studio’s passion for meaningful, design-led storytelling.

We were engaged recently by Newcastle University to create a film to help raise their profile to prospective international undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) audiences. The brief was to improve the representation of Newcastle University to those audiences who are unfamiliar with Newcastle/the UK and aim to show ‘real life’ examples of what students can expect their study experience at Newcastle to look like, along with other key messaging important to international audiences. The myth-busting style video features current students to effectively tell stories about their experiences in Newcastle both as a University and a city as they answer the question “What surprised you about studying in Newcastle/the UK?” This video is one of a series that tackles various themes, including; culture, advice for parents, why Newcastle, applying, affordability, careers, accommodation, health and wellbeing, along with general considerations.

Last year we had the honor of working with Homegrown Agency to produce a video for Adidas to reveal their sponsorship of Newcastle United.  It involved drone video footage over the tynebridge in the early hours to realve the flag begin draped over the Tyne.

Working with the NE & Cumbria Learning Disability Network in conjunction with the NHS was a pleasure for all of us here at Mango. The people involved in this project are individuals who saw a pressing issue that was not being addressed and took it upon themselves to try and create a solution. It was a heart warming project to work on and we feel lucky to have been a small part of it.

We produced two videos, a short Patient Voice video and the Main Educational video. Both videos concentrate on a particular Respiratory Clinic that is facilitated in Sunderland Hospital. The main video is aimed at anyone within the health and social care sector. The video itself sits alongside a toolkit with practical resources, guidance, information & data to better support patients with learning disabilities.

When we were first discussing the video and why it was so important to make, we were told a pretty shocking statistic. That statistic is that ‘49% of deaths in people with learning disabilities were avoidable compared to 22% of the general population. A staggering 17% of those avoidable deaths were linked to respiratory conditions.’

This video sets out to show how implementing some very simple but carefully thought out ‘reasonable adjustments’ can make a phenomenal impact on patients with learning disabilities and that they can be used to address care for any long term condition areas.

Heritage bridge works specialist Spencer Group has been praised for its work to completely refurbish and rebuild one of the world’s oldest suspension bridges.

Spencer Group has completed a programme of essential works to preserve Union Chain Bridge linking England and Scotland, which is more than 200 years old.

We were honoured to win the 14 month contract to capture the build in all its glory with 2 time lapse cameras and drone visits every month

Northumbria University, Newcastle, has been named University of the Year 2022 in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) Awards.

We were delighted to be asked by the University to work on 2 video campaigns for the award ceremony.

The THE Awards are widely recognised as the ‘Oscars of higher education’. The impressive win recognises exceptional performance, as well as bold, imaginative and innovative initiatives that have advanced a Higher Education institution’s reputation during the academic year 2020/21.

It marks Northumbria’s remarkable transformation to become the UK’s first research-intensive modern university. The strategy, which began in 2008, embedded quality research at the centre of everything that the University does, alongside a clear social mobility mission, and alignment to business and the demands of the regional and local economy.

We were delighted to be asked by the The North East Land, Sea and Air Museum to capture an historic moment in their history.

The gifting of the Tornado F3 ZE204 started back in June 2018 at the RAF 100 Celebrations in Durham. With the support of the Lord Lieutenants office from Tyne and Wear and the Reserve and Cadets Forces Association. The museum made an approach to Wing Commander Erica Ferguson the head of RAF Heritage to secure ZE204 for the North East of England. In order to achieve the gifting, space had to be made inside for the aircraft and the volunteers, without knowing the reason, set about re-arranging the main display and workshop areas over the next two years.
